Our Genetic Improvement Program has focused towards two complimentary goals - fast, efficient, and uniform growth for the producer and high quality meat, uniform carcasses, and consistent end product for the processor.
Our product, the DGI boar, is valued worldwide for its exceptional type, durability, growth rate, and meat quality traits. For many years, DGI Duroc boars have been recognized by producers for their ability to sire litters that are larger, more uniform, and heavier at birth and weaning. DGI offspring excel in appetite and growth rate, and improve throughput efficiency by reducing the number of lightweight, poor doing pigs in the grower and finisher barns.
